Making the Case: Golden State Warriors
With Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson back on the court, the Golden State Warriors are back to being a contender. The emergence of Andrew Wiggins has helped this season, but could they be looking to take advantage of his value?
The main issue here seems like it would be Golden State taking on two big contracts. Evan Fournier signed for $80+ million dollars with the Knicks last year. And of course, we all know what Randle was able to get.
On the other hand, Fournier is a good depth piece coming off the bench. He can get hot from three-point range and play valuable minutes for the Warriors in the middle of games. As for Randle, he would fill a hole down low, which the Warriors have not had for quite some time.
This is not a glaring need for Golden State given Draymond Green’s talent on both ends of the floor. It is clear that Golden State has won without productive big men in year’s past. This is not to say that Randle is the missing piece to another title, but it is simply saying that he would bring a new dynamic.

Golden State has made plenty of big moves in the past in order to wind. While this is different than bringing in Kevin Durant for example, Randle would still have benefits for the Warriors on both ends.
