Denver Nuggets
The Philadelphia 76ers have James Harden paired with one of the two best centers in the NBA. If that doesn’t work out, why not try the other one?
Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic are probably the two leading MVP candidates in the NBA. Still, as far as centers go, they have more differences than similarities. Jokic is the better offensive player, while Embiid is more of a two-way force.
Through that lens, Harden is probably better off where he is. His own defensive deficiencies are well-documented (if overstated). Having Embiid behind him is certainly an advantage that he wouldn’t have with the Nuggets.
At the same time, the combination of Jokic and Harden would be offensive dynamite. Their combined playmaking ability and basketball IQ virtually guarantee the Nuggets a top 5 offense. It could be potent enough to outweigh any defensive shortcomings.

It’s hard to say who the Nuggets would part with to add Harden. It may have to be Jamal Murray, or, Michael Porter Jr and considerable draft capital could get something done. Either way, their front office should be keeping an eye on the situation in Philadelphia.
