Making the Case: Utah Jazz
It is clear that the duo of Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert has not worked out the way that the Utah Jazz had hoped. This is one of the top teams in the West but have been unable to take that next step toward the title.
As good as Gobert is defensively, there is a sense that Mitchell could be the trade piece given the view of point guard in today’s NBA. It has turned into the most important position on the floor and Utah would have plenty of leverage in any trade talks.
In this particular deal, the Utah Jazz would be getting to young stars who continue to improve year to year. Herro first onto the seat even more this year averaging a career-high 20.7 points per game. Robinson has already established himself as one of the best shooters in the league, despite some struggles over the course of 82 games this time around him.
Adding options like this within the offense will keep the perimeter strong while Rudy Gobert continues to dominate down low. Mike Conley Jr. would return to Utah for the final years of his career. It will also allow the Jazz to look for a new option to take over at point guard.

The Jazz could focus on building around Tyler Herro on the perimeter going forward. Perhaps he’d have greater chemistry with Gobert than Mitchell.
