Brooklyn Nets Receive: G Bradley Beal
Washington Wizards Receive: G/F Ben Simmons, G/F Cam Thomas
Bradley Beal has become essentially a younger, healthier version of James Harden. In this trade, the Brooklyn Nets could be reconstructing an improved version of their original Big 3.
Beal would add much-needed ballhandling and scoring to a Brooklyn Nets squad that has been desperate for guard play since James Harden was traded. Rather than wait on Ben Simmons to return and see what kind of impact he could have, they could make this swap and land a more surefire offensive piece in Beal.
Landing him would lead the Nets to a quick return to the top of the power rankings.
This deal presents the Wizards with the most secure future cornerstone in Ben Simmons. When healthy, Simmons can make an immediate impact on both ends of the court and significantly raise the team’s floor.

Washington can also afford him any additional time he needs for his body and mind to heal. Playing in a smaller market may also be extremely helpful for his psyche.
Cam Thomas gives them an additional young prospect with potential. He could become a three-level scorer with size and guard skills in the near future and would give Simmons a good outlet to find on the perimeter.
