Chicago Bulls Receive: G Bradley Beal
Washington Wizards Receive: G Lonzo Ball, G Coby White, F Patrick Williams, 2023 first-round pick via Portland
The Chicago Bulls made major improvements this season after adding DeMar DeRozan, Lonzo Ball, and Alex Caruso. DeRozan in particular was a revelation for Chicago, giving them a true championship-level first option for the first time since Derrick Rose tore his ACL.
Now, the Bulls need to prioritize adding as much talent as they can while DeRozan and Zach LaVine are still in their primes, given that LaVine re-signs with the team of course.
Bradley Beal would give the Bulls another top-tier offensive talent and the best combination of wings in the NBA. Beal’s three-level scoring ability will take pressure off of LaVine and DeRozan, further stretching the defense and preventing opponents from loading up on Chicago’s two current go-to scorers.
DeRozan has proven himself plenty capable of running an offense, having developed into a multifaceted ballhandler capable of picking defenses apart with his shot-making or passing. He, Beal, and LaVine supply enough secondary playmaking between them to usurp the need for a true point guard.

Washington grabs three young prospects that they can add to their core and build around. Lonzo Ball has turned into one of the best two-way point guards in the league and can set the tone for the Wizards’ rebuild on both ends of the court.
Coby White gives them a volume scorer with the potential to explode in a new setting. Patrick Williams is already one of the best defenders in the league and has shown promise to become a two-way star one day.

Portland’s 2023 first-rounder gives the Wizards an additional asset to build with, but it’ll be hard for Washington to find a better combination of young players available than what the Bulls have to offer. This trade certainly could make for a speedy rebuild.
