Making the Case: Denver Nuggets
The risk that the Denver Nuggets took on Michael Porter Jr. was large during the draft night but the value was incredible. Porter Jr. was one of the best prospects coming out of school and entered the NBA with high hopes. Now, injury concerns have hindered his career a bit.
If the Nuggets are able to flip him for Donovan Mitchell, this would be a huge victory.
The Nuggets acquiring Mitchell might have one think that Murray would have to be part of the return. That is not the case in this specific trade. Porter Jr. and some draft capital would allow Denver to create a big three vying for a title in the Western Conference.
Mitchell and Murray are the types of guards that can play off the ball. This allows one to set up shop on the perimeter. This would be one of the top duos in the league in the backcourt.
