Orlando Magic Receive: G Donovan Mitchell
Utah Jazz Receive: F Jonathan Isaac, G Markelle Fultz, Future First-Round Pick
Jonathan Isaac is the closest thing the Orlando Magic have had to a star since Dwight Howard left. He’s already an absolute monster on defense, capable of guarding all five positions and filling multiple lanes with his length and agility.
While his offense is still a work in progress, he has the perimeter tools and athleticism to grow into a dominant force on that end of the court as well.
The Jazz here would be crafting the best defensive frontline in the league — perhaps in NBA history. If Isaac can develop more as a creator and outside shooter, they’ll make quick work returning to the top of the West. They also replace some of Mitchell’s ballhandling and slashing with Fultz and add a future first-rounder to speed things along.
In Orlando, one of the most fearsome guard rotations would be underway. Between Mitchell, Cole Anthony, and Jalen Suggs, the Magic could wreak havoc on opposing backcourts on both ends of the court for 48 minutes a night.

While giving up Isaac hurts, Orlando nabbed some found money with Wendell Carter Jr. and could re-sign Mo Bamba to bring back their twin towers this offseason.
A lineup of Anthony, Mitchell, Franz Wagner, Carter, and Bamba wouldn’t be a fun matchup for any team in the East. Trading Isaac should allow the Magic to keep most of their future draft picks and add talent moving forward.
LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Ranking 3 Most Likely Trade Destinations For Jazz Star Donovan Mitchell
So long as Isaac stays healthy and keeps progressing, this trade could be the perfect move for everybody involved. The Magic grab their long-awaited superstar, Donovan Mitchell frees himself from Gobert’s paint clogging, and Gobert gets a co-star who isn’t boycotting him touches. The Jazz grabs a humble potential star who probably won’t seek greener pastures. It’s a win-win-win-win.
