LA Clippers
The Los Angeles Clippers should be positioned to compete for the NBA championship next season. They’ll be counting on the returns of both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Adding Ricky Rubio to the fray should only strengthen their position.
As it stands, the Clippers don’t roster a conventional floor general. Reggie Jackson currently starts at point guard. He’s an effective isolation scorer, but he doesn’t have Rubio’s floor vision.
The Clippers could start Rubio and move Jackson into a sixth-man role.
Admittedly, adding Rubio makes for a crowded rotation for the Clippers in 2022-23. They may have envisioned Norm Powell running the second unit. If that’s the case, adding Rubio as a reserve should stabilize the bench.
