Utah Jazz Receive: G Tyler Herro, G Duncan Robinson, G Gabe Vincent, 2023 First-Round Pick, 2026 First-Round Pick
Miami Heat Receive: G Donovan Mitchell
We weren’t joking when we said it’s hard to envision a deal that sends Donovan Mitchell to the Miami Heat without sending Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson to Salt Lake City.
In fact, it verges on impossible. The Heat surely wouldn’t make a lateral move by trading Bam Adebayo for Mitchell. Bam’s switchability is too valuable to the Heat’s defense, and the playmaking he provides at the center spot is best served when complimenting other stars. Stars like…Donovan Mitchell.
The Jazz would clearly have no interest in Kyle Lowry, and if they’re moving on from Mitchell, they shouldn’t lust for Jimmy Butler either. That covers every other trade package that’s financially viable.
It has to be Herro and Robinson. In this deal, the Jazz is more interested in draft capital than active players. They’re passing up on Yurtseven’s potential to get an extra first-round pick. Gabe Vincent is a solid throw-in as well: at 25, he still aligns with a rebuilding timeline.
