1 Star The Washington Wizards Should Be Targeting In Offseason

Washington Wizards, NBA Trade Rumors
NBA Analysis Network

The Washington Wizards have gone against the grain for many NBA seasons now. As long as Bradley Beal is in town, the Wizards are going to try and attract talent.

First, it was Russell Westbrook coming over in a trade that involved John Wall. Then, Westbrook was traded for a package including Kyle Kuzma and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

All of a sudden, the Wizards acquired Kristaps Porzingis, who has played well by the way. He is averaging 21.9 points and 8.3 rebounds since coming to D.C. Right when everyone thinks that Beal is finally going to be moved, the Wizards change the narrative and put more talent around him.

In a way, you have to respect the moves. That is what the NBA is all about. Now heading into the offseason, Washington needs a point guard. Spencer Dinwiddie was part of the deal that helped Porzingis come to town.

Beal continues to be one of the top scorers in the league and Porzingis is adapting well to the offense. This is a point-guard-driven league and it will only help moving forward.

The Washington Wizards snuck into the playoffs as the eighth seed last season. They will not have the same luck this season but it is clear that they are preparing for next season. With a strong duo in place and some disposable parts, there could be a move out there for Washington.

When looking at players to target, we have to focus on the point guard position. There is one name that sticks out right away and could be up for grabs in a trade.
