Making the Case: Detroit Pistons
There isn’t necessarily a need for the Detroit Pistons to move on from Jerami Grant this offseason.
However, it’s important to take into consideration, Grant will be entering the final year of his current contract. It would be wise for the Pistons to make a decision on his long-term future with the team.
Grant, who turned 28 in March, has experienced diminished impact since the Pistons have brought Cade Cunningham into the fold. Will that continue with the addition of more premier prospects?
If the Pistons do end up with a talent like Paolo Banchero, it would bring all the more reason to make the decision to move Grant given the newfound overlap at his position.

In return, adding a shooter like Malik Beasley along with a versatile four in Jarred Vanderbilt is a solid haul. Adding a first-round pick doesn’t hurt, either.
