Kyle Kuzma – Washington Wizards

Another team besides the Portland Trail Blazers that has shown interest in Jerami Grant and could once again pursue him closer to the 2022 NBA Draft is the Washington Wizards.

Bradley Beal’s future with the Wizards is definitely in doubt entering the offseason, which is why Washington could very much be in “scramble mode” to try and add or upgrade talent at any position. 

The addition of Kristaps Porzingis at the trade deadline is definitely eyebrow raising for this franchise, but they definitely need more all-around talents if they are to be taken seriously in the Eastern Conference, even with Bradley Beal healthy! 

Kyle Kuzma has been a revelation for the Wizards on the wing and in the low-post this year, but he could very well be the key to getting a more experienced and better two-way forward in Jerami Grant.

Now about to finish up his fifth NBA season, Kyle Kuzma has proven to be a force offensively in both Los Angeles and now in Washington, which is why the Pistons should want to pursue him in a trade involving Grant. 

Not only would Kuzma be the “hometown kid” for this Pistons’ franchise, as he is from Flint, Michigan, but like Josh Hart, Kyle Kuzma would be an experienced, young leader for this Pistons franchise. 

He has played next to other star-like talents before and in Detroit, Kyle Kuzma would be a terrific No. 2 option next to future All-Star Cade Cunningham.

Having double-double potential either on the wing or at the power-forward position, Kuzma diversifies the Pistons’ roster, giving them another athletic player that can impact the game in many different ways. 

It is possible that Detroit could be interested in a trade package centered around young talents the Wizards have to offer like Corey Kispert, Deni Avdija and Rui Hachimura, but Kyle Kuzma should be the No. 1 target of the Pistons in a trade involving Jerami Grant with Washington.
