2. Los Angeles Lakers
Ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline, one of the teams that were engaged in trade talks with the New York Knicks was the Los Angeles Lakers. Desperate to upgrade on the wing, Cam Reddish was a sensible target for the team.
However, without a first-round pick to offer, negotiations were difficult. Reddish also couldn’t be combined in a deal with any other players because he was already traded once. As a result, he remained in New York, but the Los Angeles Lakers could check in on him again in the offseason.
Given how Malik Monk blossomed with the Lakers this season, the purple and gold could really appeal to Reddish. Reddish has received a little more playing time than Monk did throughout his rookie contract with the Charlotte Hornets but could find himself in a similar situation during the 2023 offseason.
Reddish has all of the tools to be a great rotation piece. He has the size, length and athleticism to be an elite defender. His 3-point shooting was highly regarded coming into the league but has yet to find a consistent jumper in the NBA.

With some experience playing in the postseason with the Hawks last year, Reddish shouldn’t shy away from the bright lights and high expectations that come with playing for the Los Angeles Lakers.
