Does this trade make sense for the Sacramento Kings?
The Sacramento Kings were rumored to move Harrison Barnes ahead of the 2022 NBA trade deadline and with them holding onto him, it is hard to imagine that the veteran will be on their roster at the conclusion of the 2022-23 season.
Barnes is not the difference in the Kings making the playoffs next season and with him being in the final year of his contract, it would make the most sense for the Kings to trade Harrison Barnes for whatever value they can get.
Taking on the remaining $70 million-plus of Duncan Robinson’s contract may not seem like the best idea, but he would be a key replacement for Buddy Hield’s lost production on the wing.
The Kings need a reliable three-point shooter that Fox and Sabonis can lean on for production from the perimeter and Duncan Robinson can play that role in Sacramento perfectly.

A trade like this would likely involve another team or some draft picks from either side, but a one-on-one swap could wind up working out for the Kings given their needs offensively.
