Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets (36-33) took on Wendell Carter Jr. and the Orlando Magic (18-52) in part of the NBA Tuesday slate. It was the Nets who coasted to a 150-108 win in this one.

A game between a top contender and a rebuilding team is what this was, and it was as clear as day.

Kyrie Irving was available to play in this one given the Nets will be on the road and he made the most of it. The Nets scored 48 points in the first quarter and ultimately had 86 at halftime with Irving accounting for 41 of those.

The game was too far out of reach for the Magic to come back at that point, so the focus of this game because about how many points Irving could finish with. He ended his night with 60 points.

Kevin Durant, who scored a season-high 53 points in the Nets’ last outing in what was a win over the New York Knicks, finished with 19 points on the night against the Magic.

Irving recently had a 50-point outing when the Nets took on the Charlotte Hornets on Mar. 8, which was two games ago for him. He’s now up to 27.7 points per game in his 19 appearances this season.

The Orlando Magic remains without Jonathan Isaac as he’s out for the remainder of the season. Despite that fact, they have been competitive at times as of late and were coming off a 116-114 OT loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. Well, that didn’t quite translate in this one.
