Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves (38-30) took on Franz Wagner and the Orlando Magic (18-50) in part of the NBA Friday slate. It was the Magic who won this game with 118-110 being the final score.

There was no team in the Western Conference that has been hotter than the Timberwolves prior to the start of this game. They had won six consecutive games for the first time since 2004 but failed to extend it.

It was a solid game for Karl-Anthony Towns as he provided the Minnesota Timberwolves with 21 points, 13 rebounds, and four assists. His co-star, Anthony Edwards, was effective with 25 points and five assists. There just wasn’t enough overall to get a win.

As for the Magic, they are in the midst of a rebuilding effort with key names like Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs being at the forefront of their focus. Both players struggled in this one.
