As expected there is much anticipation for former Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons’ arrival to Wells Fargo Center as an away team player for the first time since being moved at the NBA trade deadline to the Brooklyn Nets.
When arriving at the arena with his teammates for the Brooklyn Nets’ morning shootaround, Philadelphia-based sports reporters were waiting to ask Simmons a question.
“Ohhh, the TMZ style,” Blake Griffin said in response to the question directed at Simmons.
The Nets will face off against the Philadelphia 76ers during one of two matchups on the Thursday NBA slate. The game will be broadcasted live on TNT with much of the focus being placed on a player, Ben Simmons, who will not even be playing in the game.

Simmons has yet to play in a game since being traded to the Brooklyn Nets as he works his way back into NBA game-ready conditioning. Once he is back, he projects as playing a substantial role alongside superstars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving in pursuit of an NBA title. But, first, they must get through the play-in tournament.
