Pascal Siakam and the Toronto Raptors (35-30) took on Dejounte Murray and the San Antonio Spurs (25-41) in part of the Wednesday NBA slate. This time, the Raptors came out on top with 119-104 being the final score.

Despite the many ups-and-downs of the season for the Raptors, they remain very much in contention holding a play-in spot. While the Brooklyn Nets also are in that same mix, there is multiple playoff spots up for grabs using the play-in tournament.

As of late, Pascal Siakam has been on a tear but has needed more help from his teammates. Not having OG Anunoby or Fred VanVleet in the lineup has been limiting, but VanVleet was in the lineup for this one and he led the Toronto Raptors in scoring vs Spurs with 26 points.

Siakam chipped in a solid 20 points and eight rebounds while Scottie Barnes offered the exact same production in those two main categories.

In the midst of a rare losing season, the Spurs are looking to maximize the development of Dejounte Murray and Keldon Johnson along with no shortage of other members of the roster.

In this Raptors vs Spurs matchup, Murray finished with an impressive 25 points and 12 assists while Johnson racked up a team-high 27 points and eight boards.

It’s too late for the San Antonio Spurs to turn things around for a play-in spot based on how the landscape has developed. However, they will still come out and play hard.
