Andre Drummond’s Rebounding Abilities
A battle in the trenches will occur tonight in this matchup between the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets, specifically between Andre Drummond and Joel Embiid.
Not only is this a “revenge game” for James Harden, but it is one for Seth Curry and Andre Drummond on the Nets as well, as they will go back to Philadelphia to play against their former team for the first time since the Feb. 10 trade deadline deal.
Seth Curry’s impact on the perimeter next to Patty Mills is extremely important, but Andre Drummond must be a factor tonight for the Nets if they are to pull off a huge win against the Sixers.
Since joining Brooklyn, Drummond has been their starting center and has played his role fairly well. In 9 games with the Nets, Andre Drummond has averaged 10.3 points, 9.4 rebounds and has recorded three double-doubles.

One of the best rebounding big men in the league, Andre Drummond must make his impact felt on both ends of the court in terms of rebounding.
Joel Embiid is the MVP-frontrunner right now for the 76ers and limiting not only his, but the 76ers’ second-chance opportunities as a whole will be essential.
Philadelphia ranks dead-last in the league in total rebounds per game and outside of Joel Embiid and James Harden, the Sixers really do not have another player they can count on to crash the glass. Andre Drummond is primed for a big game tonight and with LaMarcus Aldridge out for the Nets, Drummond’s minutes and workload will only increase as the game goes on.

Getting a matchup against the team that traded him should add more fuel to the flame for Drummond tonight and practicing against Embiid for half the season should have him ready to fight against the MVP-frontrunner all night long.
