Ja Morant has entered “superstar status” this NBA season and has helped lead this young Memphis Grizzlies team to being one of the best overall teams in the entire league. 

Right in the thick of things with the Warriors in the Western Conference standings, the Grizzlies could very well overtake Golden State for the 2-seed in the conference heading into the playoffs. 

There really are no flaws with the Grizzlies this season and if they lose in the playoffs, it will simply be because of their lack of experience and lack of starpower surrounding Ja Morant. 

Overall though, the one underlying question facing this team for what seems like all season long is the status of Dillon Brooks and if he will be able to return in time for the playoffs.

Brooks has been sidelined since Jan. 8 due to a severe ankle sprain, but it does appear that the Grizzlies wing is on the mend. Memphis is expected Dillon Brooks to return to the floor in some capacity before the end of March and it is very realistic that he could be the missing link for them in a series against the Suns or Warriors right now. 

Last season in the playoffs, Dillon Brooks emerged as a key two-way factor on the wing and the Grizzlies will need all the scoring help that they can get if they are to make a deep postseason push. 

One of the most balanced offensive and defensive teams this season, the Memphis Grizzlies are one of the most disrespected and slept on teams in the NBA. Do not count this team out from going all the way this season.
