Zion Williamson – New Orleans Pelicans

Zion Williamson’s future in New Orleans seems to be very up-in-the-air right now, as the young All-Star forward has not played all season long due to undergoing surgery in the offseason for a fractured foot.

Tension is starting to arise between the Pelicans’ front-office and their All-Star, which could lead to his immediate departure in the offseason. Should New Orleans and Zion Williamson not agree to a long-term extension before the start of the 2022-23 season, many should expect the 2019 No. 1 overall pick to be traded.

Who knows what Zion Williamson is thinking, but according to The Athletic back in June, the young star’s family members are unhappy with the organization and the way they have managed their team, resulting in them wanting Zion to join another team worthy of his star-power.

Not only are the Knicks the team that Zion wanted to end up with the No. 1 overall pick in 2019, but they have R.J. Barrett and Cam Reddish on their roster, Zion Williamson’s two teammates and best friends from Duke.
