Jerami Grant – Detroit Pistons

Among the many teams to be interested in Jerami Grant this season, the Boston Celtics may just be the most intriguing team that he could land on.

The Pistons decided last-minute hold onto Grant at the trade deadline, but many around the league expect Detroit to explore trade opportunities for the 27-year-old forward closer to the 2022 NBA Draft in search of more draft picks.

Getting ready to enter the final year of his contract in the offseason, Jerami Grant is affordable and most importantly, the perfect No. 3 option for the Celtics to pair with Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum on the wing.

In a trade for Grant though, Boston would be forced to give up a lot of assets in draft picks, as well as young talents in Aaron Nesmith and Grant Williams.

On top of everything else, the Celtics would likely have to be committed to keeping Jerami Grant long-term, as the Pistons’ forward is not only looking for a long-term extension on any new team he could go to, but he is looking to be a focal point like he is now in Detroit.

Seeing as they have Tatum and Brown already, Boston may not be the best scenario for Jerami Grant in terms of what he is looking for should he be traded.
