1. Milwaukee Bucks

The defending NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks made one trade at the deadline that set them up to be players in the buyout market. They saw Donte DiVincenzo, Semi Ojeleye and Rodney Hood depart with Serge Ibaka coming to town.

Ibaka will help shore things up in the Bucks’ frontcourt with Brook Lopez’s return being up in the air. With at least one of the two roster spots they opened up, the Bucks will likely be looking to add a point guard to the mix.

Dennis Schroder would be an excellent pickup for the stretch run of the season. He could slide into the rotation spot vacated by DiVincenzo, providing a scoring punch to the second unit that has been missing with Bobby Portis taking over as the starting center.

Pat Connaughton is the only player with more games off the bench than starts averaging double-figures on the season.

The chance to play for a title could outweigh signing with a Bucks team that could provide him more minutes. He would have a significant role with the second unit and could even eat into some of George Hill’s minutes come playoff time if Hill cannot get his 3-point shooting percentage back up near his career norms.
