The Indiana Pacers took advantage of the NBA trade deadline to begin the rebuilding process. Between moving on from Domantas Sabonis and Caris LeVert, the clear-cut focus for them is to build long-term.

Tyrese Haliburton joins Chris Duarte in the backcourt as the franchise-cornerstones for the Pacers to focus their team building efforts around. Remaining on the roster are Malcolm Brogdon and Myles Turner, who if Indiana wanted, could be moved for more assets.

While it appears more likely for Brogdon to be moved in a potential trade when considering the overlap at the point guard position, Turner is an option to give consideration to capitalizing on value, too.

There isn’t necessarily a pressing need for the Pacers to make such a move when considering he brings needed rim protection and a versatile play-finishing skill-set on offense that is not easy to find. However, that also reflects in his trade value, too.

If the Pacers were to decide to move Turner, the Charlotte Hornets are a team that has been long linked to him and would be a logical trade suitor for him. They are in need of bolstering their rim protection with a proven talent and after recovering from his stress reaction, Turner would check a lot of boxes.

Could one of those teams be the Charlotte Hornets? Let’s take a look at this hypothetical trade that would land Myles Turner in the Queen City.
