Would this trade make sense for the Los Angeles Lakers?
This trade would be a decent one for the Los Angeles Lakers. Obviously, they’ve had their sights set on star players, but that’s not happening right now. At the end of the day, they need depth, and this trade would get them that.
Adding Terrence Ross to the mix would give the Lakers two sparkplug options – Carmelo Anthony and Ross. One could be inserted into the starting lineup (likely Ross), while the other comes off the bench and runs the offense from that spot.
Ross earned the nickname “The Human Torch” for a reason, and that’s exactly the role he’d play in Los Angeles. When no one else is able to score and their offense is struggling, Ross could step in and nail a few timely buckets for them.
As for Robin Lopez, he would be a small upgrade over both DeAndre Jordan and Dwight Howard at this point in their careers. Lopez is a traditional, back-to-the-basket type center (who oddly mastered the hook shot last season). However, his toughness and overall intensity would provide a solid spark.

Considering the Los Angeles Lakers’ timeline is now and not the future, trading away Talen Horton-Tucker and Nunn should be easy for them. The same can be said about the pick. If all else fails, they should definitely look to fall back on this trade.
