One of the most sought-after trade targets over the last several months, Jerami Grant still finds himself as a number one trade target for teams ahead of the NBA trade deadline.

After signing a three-year, $60 million deal with the Pistons ahead of last season, Jerami Grant emerged as one of the better two-way forwards in the league, averaging 22.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, and shooting 42.9% from the floor last season.

While he has missed time this season due to a thumb injury, Jerami Grant has still proven that he is a high-level scorer and is interested in being moved.

However, he wants to be traded somewhere that will not only treat him like a primary weapon but a team that will also be open to extending his contract.

According to multiple reports, Jerami Grant is seeking a multi-year contract extension worth upwards of $100 million.

Multiple teams have been in close contact for weeks with the Pistons on a Jerami Grant-oriented trade, but there are still no advancements on a possible deal heading into the final 24 hours before the trade deadline.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowksi stated recently that while the Pistons continue to be engaged in trade talks surrounding Grant, they could very much wait until the offseason and closer to the 2022 NBA Draft before making a move.

Wojnarowski also stated that Detroit’s asking price is two first-round picks. Not many teams in the league may be willing to give up this kind of value for a non-All-Star talent right now, but Jerami Grant is certainly the kind of player that could wind up helping a team either make the playoffs or a deep playoff push.

Again, it is looking like Jerami Grant could very well remain in Detroit through the end of the season, but these three teams could very well go “all-in” and offer the Pistons exactly what they are looking for in a trade before the deadline.
