New York Knicks Receive: C Myles Turner
Indiana Pacers Receive: G Kemba Walker, C Mitchell Robinson, G Quentin Grimes, 2023 First-Round Pick (via DAL)
This trade would send two young pieces and a salary-matching contract to the Indiana Pacers in exchange for their starting center. It would signal the start of a much-needed rebuild for the Pacers, while the New York Knicks would focus on trying to win now.
Myles Turner has been solid for the Pacers this year, but recently, he has expressed the desire to play a bigger role elsewhere. The Texas product is putting up 12.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks while shooting 50.9 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from three-point land.
Kemba Walker hasn’t met the expectations of Knicks fans, but he’d mainly be in this trade for salary-matching purposes. The real prize of this deal for Indiana would be the two youngsters they’d receive – Mitchell Robinson and Quentin Grimes.
Robinson has played well this year, averaging 8.4 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks while shooting 78.3 percent from the field.

Grimes, the 25th overall pick, has played well in limited opportunities. He’s putting up 5.9 points while shooting 40.7 percent from the field and 38.2 percent from deep.
The Pacers have supposedly asked for two first-round picks in exchange for Turner, but have already taken less for Caris LeVert. Would they accept this deal since they’d get two solid young players, too? Meanwhile, why would the Knicks be interested in making this deal?
