Los Angeles Lakers Receive: F Josh Hart, C Willy Hernangomez
New Orleans Pelicans Receive: F Talen Horton-Tucker, C DeAndre Jordan, 2027 First-Round Pick, Two Future Second Round Picks

Josh Hart would be shipped back to the Los Angeles Laker just three seasons after he was traded from there to the New Orleans Pelicans. Meanwhile, the Pelicans would receive Talen Horton-Tucker and some picks as their main compensation.

Hart has been playing very well for the Pelicans this season. The 26-year-old forward has been averaging 13.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 4.1 assists while shooting 50.5 percent from the field and 32.3 percent from three-point range.

Horton-Tucker started off the year strong, but his numbers have since tapered off. The 21-year old is putting up 9.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.5 assists while shooting 40.6 percent from the field and 25.0 percent from behind the arc.

As for the other two players, the two teams would swap centers.

Willy Hernangomez has averaged 9.2 points and 7.1 rebounds while shooting 53.7 percent from the field, while DeAndre Jordan is putting up 4.2 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 67.0 percent from the field.

This would certainly be an interesting swap. The Lakers would add a more seasoned player while the New Orleans Pelicans would look toward the future. But as a whole, how would this trade benefit both sides? Why would each team consider making this deal?
