The Atlanta Hawks have been largely underwhelming this NBA season but have begun turning things around as of late. Trae Young is putting up some amazing numbers and earned an All-Star starter nod. . Atlanta is currently 25-27 and sits at 10th in the Eastern Conference.
The Hawks moved on from Cam Reddish as he sought a larger role and John Collins has expressed his frustration with his role on the team, too. According to him, he doesn’t want to leave Atlanta but wants to take on a bigger role within the offense. Despite his contract extension this past offseason, he hasn’t gotten that.
Meanwhile, out west, the Portland Trail Blazers are also in shambles. Their season has been a comedy of errors. They are 21-33 right now, good for 10th in the Western Conference. Little seems to be going right for the Blazers this year and the team already began selling ahead of the NBA trade deadline.

They’ve had to fire Neil Olshey, their now former GM, there were reports of a rift forming between Chauncey Billups and the team, and now Damian Lillard is going to miss extended time.
Norman Powell and Robert Covington are now members of the LA Clippers with CJ McCollum likely being next to be on the move. More changes appear to be highly likely for Portland.
