New Orleans Pelicans
Starting out the season 8-21, the Pelicans season looked like it was over before it even had a chance to start. Since then, the Pelicans have worked their way to 19-32, which is still not great, but they are just 1.5 games back from the 10-seeded Portland Trail Blazers in the Western Conference.
The Pelicans are expected to try and move Tomas Satoransky and Jaxson Hayes for value at the NBA trade deadline, however, they are also expected to be “buyers” and try to add another high-level talent to pair with Brandon Ingram since Zion Williamson’s status for the season is in question.
Needing an actual point guard, Spencer Dinwiddie could do a lot of things to really open up this Pelicans offense more, an offense that has struggled and currently ranks 25th in the league in offensive rating.
Devonte’ Graham is a much better guard when he does not have to create for others and can be a catch-and-shoot threat off of screens. Brandon Ingram normally has the ball in his hands, but having another facilitator in Dinwiddie takes a lot of pressure off of him as well to lead this offense.

Losing Lonzo Ball to the Bulls in the offseason is really starting to reveal a big hole on the Pelicans’ roster, one that they will not be able to fill unless they add a point guard ahead of the NBA trade deadline.
The Pelicans could not only get their wish of moving Tomas Satoransky in this trade, but they could also wind up keeping young talents like Kira Lewis Jr. and Nickeil Alexander-Walker as well.

Having multiple first-round picks through the years from other teams, the Pelicans could send Satoransky, a first-round pick and possibly Garrett Temple to the Wizards for Spencer Dinwiddie, a trade that would work out for both sides should the Wizards want to dump Dinwiddie at the NBA trade deadline.
