Would this trade make sense for the New Orleans Pelicans?
It seems like a lifetime ago that the New Orleans Pelicans’ war room was celebrating winning the draft lottery and the eventual No. 1 selection of Zion Williamson.
After looking like the next big thing when healthy, this has been his problem. He is never healthy. This puts the Pelicans in a difficult position because they cannot afford to give up on the Duke product already but he is not worth much on the bench.
When Williamson does return, it would make sense to put the right players around him. Fox would fit into the system right away. He is a do-it-all point guard who can fill up a stat sheet. Fox is averaging 21.0 points and 5.2 assists per contest.
These numbers are down from last season but he is one of the rising stars in the league. The NBA has seen teams load up on stars in order to win. This is not the only move that the Pelicans need to make in order to win but it is a huge step in the right direction.

As the NBA trade deadline quickly approaches, New Orleans will have to make some decisions and Fox could be at the top of the list.
This would be a big victory for the Pelicans in the Fox sweepstakes. He continues to be an underrated option because he is out in Sacramento. If he were to move to a different market with another star, it would bring more attention to his game.
