Should The Washington Wizards Trade Bradley Beal?

Obviously this is not something the Wizards want to do, but if Bradley Beal already has the idea of leaving Washington implanted in his mind, they may want to try and get as much value for him now.

The trade market is thin on All-Star talents this season, which would instantly create a bidding war for Beal should the team look to trade him right now.

This situation with the Wizards though does appear like it will play out in the offseason. Beal has never been one to quit on the Wizards and while he may absolutely be interested in leaving, he will not want to “punish” or “force” something onto the organization that has been so good to him.

Waiting until the offseason to request a trade not only allows Washington to get exactly what they need/want for Beal, but they will not be rushed in the sense of making this decision over the course of a week and on top of everything else, Bradley Beal could still sign his mega contract extension and be a part of a sign-and-trade.
