Orlando Magic Receive: G Eric Bledsoe, LAC 2022 2nd Round Pick, LAC 2023 2nd Round Pick
LA Clippers Receive: G/F Terrence Ross, G Michael Carter-Williams
The Orlando Magic are rebuilding right now, which means out with the old and in with the draft picks!
At the trade deadline last season, Orlando traded away All-Star Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier, turning all three players into Wendell Carter Jr., Franz Wagner, R.J. Hampton, two future first-round picks and two future second-round picks.
All-in-all, the Magic have made out pretty well so far and things are only going to get better given that young talents like Jalen Suggs, Cole Anthony, Mo Bamba and others have started to come into their own a little bit this season.
Trading away Terrence Ross at the deadline remains a strong possibility for the Magic, especially since he is on a very tradeable contract. Making just $12.5M this season and then $11.5M next season before becoming a free agent, Ross could help many playoff contending teams right away.

They have struggled this season and could very much just look to sell what they can at the trade deadline, but if the LA Clippers want to try and make the most out of this season, they will look to add talent at the deadline.
Terrence Ross is not going to solve all the Clippers’ problems this season, but he is a steady offensive talent on the wing that would definitely be a key contributor for them this season and next season.
Michael Carter-Williams is nothing more than a “salary-filler” in the final year of his contract in this trade, but overall, Los Angeles would also be saving themselves $2.3M this season by unloading Eric Bledsoe’s contract in this trade.
For a tax-paying team that has almost no shot at making a deep playoff run, saving money is going to be key for the Clippers, hence why they could have a lot of interest in a deal like this.

The LA Clippers may not have a lot to offer the Magic in terms of future value, but Bledsoe’s contract is only partially-guaranteed for $3.9M next season and Orlando could save themselves some cap space while also adding some second-round picks.
