Brooklyn Nets Receive: F/C John Collins, G/F Bogan Bogdanovic, F De’Andre Hunter, 2022 First-Round Pick, 2024 First-Round Pick, 2026 First-Round Pick
This blockbuster trade between the Brooklyn Nets and Atlanta Hawks was cooked up over at Hoops Habit, which is part of the FanSided network. This deal would certainly shake up each team’s roster, but the Eastern Conference as a whole.
The Hawks have fallen well short of expectations this season. After advancing to the Eastern Conference last season, they are battling it out just to qualify for the NBA Play-In Tournament as they are currently in 12th place.
Acquiring James Harden would give them arguably the best backcourt in the NBA, as he would be paired with Trae Young. Defenses would pull their hair out trying to slow down two of the trickiest players to defend who live at the foul line.
Joining Harden in Atlanta is Paul Millsap, who was part of some of the best Hawks teams in recent history when they were atop the Eastern Conference regularly. Jevon Carter provides some insurance in the backcourt, an area the team could use some help.

Brooklyn is getting a haul for the former MVP. John Collins, Bogdan Bogdanovic and De’Andre Hunter provide a ton of talent and depth to round out the roster. While not All-Stars, a deeper team should help the Nets navigate the season with Kyrie Irving only being a part-time player.
The Nets recoup a ton of their draft capital in this deal as well, landing three unprotected first-round picks from the Hawks to part ways with Harden. To acquire him, Brooklyn sent three picks to Houston along with four pick swaps that began in 2021.
