Draft Picks
It should not be a surprise that draft picks are on the short list of trade targets for the Oklahoma City Thunder. This has been a huge goal of Presti’s over the years. We have seen Oklahoma City send away many big names in order to acquire draft picks. That is why they are setup well for years to come.
Just because the Thunder have many draft picks over the next five years or so, this does not mean that they will not want to add more.
The Thunder have sent away the likes of Russell Westbrook, Paul George, and Chris Paul in recent years to gain massive amounts of picks. This is like goal to a rebuilding squad. Now, it is all about using the picks in the right way.
So far, Giddey looks like a home run of a pick. Oklahoma City could continue to load up on picks in order to accomplish some goals down the line.

At some point, the front office will have to put this plan into motion but it is unknown what the end goal actually is. With that in mind, they are not there yet and acquiring more picks is still valuable.
