So far, it has been the season that we were expecting from the Oklahoma City Thunder. They are near the bottom of the Western Conference and that is where they are likely going to stay. Sam Presti has been aggressive years past in order to acquire assets so it will be interesting to see where he goes at the NBA trade deadline.
The Thunder signed Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in the offseason. This solidified the point guard position and gave the franchise a centerpiece to build around.
This season, Gilgeous-Alexander is scoring 22.8 points per contest. There is no doubt that he is the real deal and there are some other prospects that look like future pieces. This includes Josh Giddey, who was a first-round pick this season. He currently leads the team with 7.4 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game, while adding 11.5 points.
While Gilgeous-Alexander and Giddey are clear pieces to build around, there are other creating value that could be moved. Lu Dort is at the top of the list. It has taken some time for his game to develop but he is scoring at a high clip this season — 16.1 points per night.

There are options in Oklahoma City, like there is with many rebuilding teams. If Presti decides to acquire some more pieces, here are three targets to keep an eye on.
