Where Could Myles Turner End Up?
Now in his 7th NBA season, Myles Turner has turned himself into one of the premier shot-blockers in the league, as he has led the league in blocks per game two of the last three seasons. Currently averaging 2.8 blocks per game this season, Turner is once again leading the league in blocked shots.
Being owed just $35M through next season before becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2023, Myles Turner is affordable and is a high-impact player on the defensive-end of the floor, which is why several playoff threats have lined up to target him ahead of the NBA trade deadline.
The Los Angele Lakers, New York Knicks, Charlotte Hornets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Portland Trail Blazers and Dallas Mavericks have all been rumored to have shown interest in Myles Turner recently and it should not be surprising to see the defensive star on the move in the coming weeks.
The Indiana Pacers currently view Turner as expendable given that they do not utilize him much offensively and the big man seems to be very frustrated with his current situation.

When recently talking with The Athletic’s Jared Weiss, Myles Turner talked about the Pacers rough start to the season and he discussed his minimal role with the team.
“It’s clear that I’m not valued as anything more than a glorified role player here, and I want something more, more opportunity,” Turner told The Athletic. “I’m trying really hard to make the role that I’m given here work and find a way to maximize it. I’ve been trying to the past two, three seasons. But it’s clear to me that, just numbers-wise, I’m not valued as more than a rotational role player, and I hold myself in a higher regard than that.”
