Dallas Mavericks Receive: G/F Bogdan Bogdanovic
Atlanta Hawks Receive: F Dorian Finney-Smith, G/F Reggie Bullock, 2022 Second-Round Pick, 2024 Second-Round Pick
This trade would see the Dallas Mavericks take a chance at adding some extra scoring while the Atlanta Hawks would begin to prioritize defense a bit more. In theory, this could help each team shore up an area of need before the NBA trade deadline.
As mentioned, Bogdan Bogdanovic has been struggling a bit this season. He’s averaging 12.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists while shooting 41.2 percent from the field and 35.4 percent from three-point range. However, just last year he put up 16.4 points and shot nearly 44 percent from deep.
Dorian Finney-Smith has played a huge role for the Mavs this season. The veteran forward is putting up 10.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists while shooting 44.7 percent from the field and 37.1 percent from three-point land.
Reggie Bullock has been struggling a bit this year, averaging 6.4 points while shooting 38.2 percent from the field and 32.1 percent from deep.

However, he was a great 3&D guy for the Knicks last year and has been picking things up lately. During the Mavs’ recent ten-game stretch, where the team has gone 8-2, Bullock is putting up 8.9 points while shooting 44.4 percent from deep.
The Hawks would also net a couple of second-round picks in the trade, but this trade would really be about them focusing on the defensive side of the ball. Meanwhile, the Mavericks would add another scoring option alongside Doncic and Porzingis. But why should both teams be interested in this trade as a whole?
