Marcus Smart
Could the Boston Celtics want to move Marcus Smart already? He just signed a four-year deal and, while underwhelming, this was the big move of the offseason for Boston. They could be looking to retool and the Hawks could step in and benefit from other team’s changes.
Smart was extended in Boston because of his defensive ability and their need for a point guard. This season, he is not scoring at a high clip and is struggling from deep. Smart is averaging 11.6 points per game while shooting 29.9% from three-point range.
This is a chance for the Celtics to get rid of his contract and the Hawks could pair Smart with Young. He would not be relied on as the primary point guard and this is a better fit.
This is not to say that Smart is the missing piece but he is an experienced player who could provide some insight on a younger team.

The Hawks need some depth and help off the bench. Smart would provide that extra piece in the rotation along the perimeter and this would help on both ends.
