3. Denver Nuggets For Jamal Murray
If the Boston Celtics are going to trade away Jaylen Brown, it will be to help balance out and replenish the rest of the roster. Point guard is one area they could look to upgrade, and the Denver Nuggets could be a team they call.
The Nuggets are on the cusp of contending when they are healthy. They have the reigning MVP in Nikola Jokic but are without Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. Neither of those players is a great defender, so could Denver look to upgrade in the form of Brown?
A package centered around Murray would leave Denver without a point guard, but Brown is a better two-way player right now. Given the playmaking of Jokic, a traditional point guard isn’t needed as much in Denver, so they could be open to a deal built around Murray.
The Celtics may not feel Murray is on the level of Brown. Would Porter interest them more? There are a few options in Denver that the Celtics would be interested in should the teams get to negotiating a deal.
