Philadelphia 76ers Receive: F Isaac Okoro, G Ricky Rubio, F Cedi Osman, F Dylan Windler, CLE 2022 1st Round Pick (Unprotected), CLE 2023 1st Round Pick (Swap, More Favorable to PHI), CLE 2024 1st Round Pick (Top-5 Protected)
Cleveland Cavaliers Receive: G/F Ben Simmons, F Paul Reed

Obviously, this trade would probably involve one or two other teams in order to bring a little bit more value to Philadelphia, but overall, this is the best the Cleveland Cavaliers can and will be willing to offer up for Ben Simmons at this time.

They do not have an All-Star-level player to offer up, already putting them low on the totem pole in regards to having a shot at acquiring Simmons, and they do not seem willing to include Darius Garland, Evan Mobley or Jarrett Allen in any trade talks right now.

Maybe Kevin Love could be a player the Philadelphia 76ers are interested in from a skill standpoint, but he is 33-years-old and has one of the most unfavorable contracts in the entire league.

Philadelphia dealt with a bad contract situation not too long ago with Al Horford and they would like to avoid so with Love, hence why they did not show interest in him in the offseason.

Ricky Rubio would be a solid piece for the 76ers to add in the backcourt given his playmaking abilities and sense of stability, but it is hard to see where Okoro, Osman, and Windler fit into the equation.

Windler is a young talent that shows promise as a “3-and-D” type of player on the wing, but Cedi Osman’s contract is not something the Sixers would want to be tied to and Isaac Okoro does not fit into this team’s system whatsoever, which would likely result in him and Osman being traded somewhere else for another talented player.

The Cavaliers are currently the 3rd best-rated defense in the league and they have been the best story of the first half of the 2021-22 NBA season. When Collin Sexton went down, many gave up on the Cavs, but they are 10-8 since he got injured and still finding ways to win.

Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen have been arguably the best frontcourt duo in the league this season and with Darius Garland continuing to improve as a playmaker for himself and others, this team’s potential is very high at the moment.

They are not championship contenders, but they can be a threat in the Eastern Conference because of their defensive tenacity and size.

Adding Ben Simmons to their roster only makes them better in these departments and as long as they do not have to sacrifice any core players, they would be all about making this trade.
