Why the Philadelphia 76ers would be interested in this trade

The Philadelphia 76ers would absolutely be interested in Jrue Holiday if they had a way to convince the Milwaukee Bucks to trade Jrue Holiday, but this is not going to happen. The reason the Bucks are not going to trade Holiday is the same reason why they are not going to trade Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, or any of the other core pieces of their roster.

This team just won a championship last year and they got better in the offseason, so why would they give up any of their top talents?

The idea of adding Jrue Holiday to this Philadelphia 76ers team definitely makes sense from the 76ers’ point of view because of everything he can do on the court. Philadelphia needs a floor general that can play off of guys like Tobias Harris and Joel Embiid on the offensive end of the floor.

If they can get an equal-to defender as Ben Simmons, great, but if not, they need to be able to at least improve offensively. By acquiring Holiday, they not only get better offensively, but they probably get better defensively as well given how strong of a defender the Bucks’ guard is.

Bringing Holiday back to Philadelphia would be a great move for Daryl Morey and this front office to make, but it is just not realistic. It just makes no sense whatsoever for the Milwaukee Bucks to trade Jrue Holiday at this time, which is why the Philadelphia 76ers are going to have to go back to the drawing board and try to find another All-Star-level talent to trade Ben Simmons for.
