The Los Angeles Lakers showed they are not afraid to make bold moves and the team is in the midst of needing to do what they can to win a championship while LeBron James is still around.

There is the potential concern that Rajon Rondo would be the only backup point guard on the team, but Gordon has shown to be capable of initiating the offense throughout his career and still can as he’s done with the Rockets.

Gordon has dealt with numerous injuries in recent seasons but he’s back to playing at a high level — averaging 14.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 3.3 assists this season while shooting 48.7 percent from the floor and 44.5 percent from beyond the arc.

While the Rockets’ young backcourt talents, Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr., have been sidelined, Gordon stepped up in a major way—showcasing his trade value.
