There are other teams around the NBA that certainly are capable of offering a better trade package for Jerami Grant than the Phoenix Suns. However, how many of them feel they are in a position to go ‘all-in’ at the NBA trade deadline to make a deal happen?
The main option that comes to mind when evaluating alternative potential contenders for a Grant trade is the Los Angeles Lakers, who have exhausted their assets to acquire Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook.
The Golden State Warriors simply are too focused on keeping their young players then to make a trade for a bigger contract player like Grant, or other options like one of the Indiana Pacers’ bigs.
There has been some thought about the Utah Jazz as an option, but they also are a team who is light on assets to offer and have less appealing talents than the Suns in a deal.

If the Pistons are intent on moving Jerami Grant at the NBA trade deadline, there would be value in giving the Phoenix Suns a call. Cameron Johnson and a few first round picks is solid value as the ‘chasers’ of a deal. Jae Crowder can add temporary wing shooting as well.
