Kemba Walker – New York Knicks
One of the big signings of the offseason came when the New York Knicks signed “hometown kid” Kemba Walker to be their starting point guard. The 4-time All-Star has battled knee injuries since entering the league and was coming off a season in which injuries limited his overall productivity in Boston, but the Knicks believe that he could really be a difference for them on offense.
Unfortunately, this has not been the case, as Walker is averaging career-lows in scoring (11.7), rebounding (2.6), assists (3.1), field goals made per game (4.2), field goals attempted per game (9.8) and minutes (24.5).
On November 29, Knicks’ head coach Tom Thibodeau announced that the team was not only removing Kemba Walker from the starting lineup, but from the rotation as a whole. The former All-Star has not played in a game for New York since.
Being under contract for $8.7M this season and then $9.2M next season, Walker should be easy to move in a trade from a financial standpoint, but his interest league-wide could be limited.

Not many teams were interested in Kemba Walker when he was a free agent this past offseason and now after his recent struggles, his market could once again be low. However, he is still a former All-Star talent that may find some success being a secondary talent off-the-bench in this league.
Should the Knicks decide they want to move him, there could be several playoff contenders that show interest in Kemba Walker. These are not teams rumored to be interested in him, but based off of how their roster is constructed and their current needs, the Nuggets, Clippers, Lakers, Pacers and Mavericks could all show interest in him.
Kemba Walker will play again in this league, it is just a matter of where he will end up. It does not seem like he has a future in New York anymore, making this marriage very short-lived.
