Domantas Sabonis – Indiana Pacers

With the Pacers on the verge of a rebuild, Shams Charania reports that they are not only going to listen to trade offers for Caris LeVert and Myles Turner, but Domantas Sabonis as well. The Pacers drafted Sabonis 11th overall in 2016 and since then, he has developed into one of the best low-post scorers in the entire league.

Compared to the early 2000s, we do not see much low-post basketball being played anymore, but the best thing about Domantas Sabonis, other than his offensive rebounding, is the fact that he can facilitate and play out in the perimeter.

Sabonis is not much of a ball-handler, but he is great at setting screens and then stepping out for three-point opportunities. On the season, the All-Star forward is only shooting 29.3% from deep, but for his career, he has shot 31.7% from three-point range.

Again, these numbers are not impressive, but we are talking about a 6’11” big man who does all of his work in the paint. The fact that shooting is an option for him is impressive and should he be available, Domantas Sabonis is going to draw a ton of attention on the trade market.

LATEST NBA NEWS & RUMORS: Kyrie Irving Starts Process To Return To Brooklyn Nets

He has made the All-Star game each of the last two seasons and is an elite-level rebounder, especially on the offensive glass.

Domantas Sabonis is averaging 3.3 offensive rebounds per game this season, tied with Jarrett Allen for the 6th best in the league this season, and for his career, he has averaged 2.2 offensive rebounds per game.

Averaging just under a double-double for his career, Sabonis could very well end up being one of the only All-Stars involved in trade talks this season. Not many teams are looking to shake up their roster too much, which is why his value is at an all-time high.

The Pacers could likely get a couple of first-round picks and young talents for their big man, but there is no word yet on what exactly Indiana is looking to do.

They could just field offers for him and decide not to rebuild, but given their struggles, Domantas Sabonis is the number one name to keep an eye on this season in regards to stars being involved in trade rumors.
