It has been a 15-year struggle for the Sacramento Kings to attempt to make the playoffs to no avail. At some point, the team may need to get aggressive by making a move to add a key player in order to get the job done.

Jerami Grant is the veteran player in Detroit that would be on the move here. He has plenty of value on both ends of the floor and this is what the Pistons should be looking to take advantage of.

The Kings would also take on Kelly Olynyk, who is a low-risk option — bringing his stretch-five skill-set to help spread the floor for De’Aaron Fox.

In this deal, Sacramento would be able to move some of their biggest trade pieces. This includes Buddy Hield, who is sticking around with the organization.

Richaun Holmes would also be on his way to Detroit, who would immediately fill in for Olynyk. There is a contrast in style with Holmes being a savvy rim-roller with more athleticism, who could fit in nicely with Cade Cunningham.

Let’s take a closer look and see how this NBA trade scenario centered around Jerami Grant would impact both the Detroit Pistons and Sacramento Kings.
