Warriors and Suns are way better than the rest of the league

We saw the Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns face off on November 30 and we will get a chance to see the two best teams in the NBA play once more on December 3.

The Warriors and Suns are the two best teams in the NBA and there is a pretty wide margin between them and the next tier of teams in this league!

Starting with the Warriors, many expected them to be good once again, but very few expected this! After missing the playoffs in back-to-back seasons, the Warriors find themselves in familiar territory this year at the top of the NBA standings and rankings because of how well-balanced they are.

Steph Curry is doing Steph Curry things, putting him in the conversation for early season MVP, but this team finally has depth at every single position again, something they did not have the last few years.

Andre Iguodala, Otto Porter Jr., Nemanja Bjelica, Juan Toscano-Anderson and Gary Payton II have all played huge roles for this team off-the-bench and the season Jordan Poole has been having is incredible.

The third-year guard is averaging 18.5 points, 3.1 rebound, 3.3 assists and is shooting 34.7% from three-point range, filling in for Klay Thompson nicely. Speaking of Klay Thomson, he has yet to play this year, but Golden State is still 18-3.

Both Klay and James Wiseman are still working their way back from separate injuries, which will give this Warriors team even more depth than they already have!

Before losing to the Suns on November 30, the Warriors were 18-2, matching their second-best start through 20 games in franchise history. The Warriors have won at least 15 of their first 20 games four different times prior to this season, most recently going 15-5 through their first 20 games during the 2017-18 season, and 3 of these 4 times, Golden State went on to win the NBA Finals.

Who knows if they can win another championship this year, but it is very clear to see that they are one of the top teams in the entire NBA once again.

As for the Suns, they are coming off a season in which they lost in the NBA Finals in six games. For some reason, people do not tend to have a long memory when it comes to small market teams, but the Suns are the defending Western Conference champions and instead of getting rid of players in the offseason, they kept everybody and actually added a handful of talented players like JaVale McGee, Landry Shamet and Elfrid Payton!

Currently ranking 7th in offensive rating and 2nd in defensive rating, the Phoenix Suns are one of the most balanced teams in the entire league and they really do not have many flaws. Devin Booker is dealing with a hamstring injury, so it will be interesting to see how they will play without him, but they have won a franchise-tying 17 consecutive games.

This team has what it takes to get back to the NBA Finals this season and quite honestly, it should not be a surprise to see the Suns play the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals this year.
