3. Buddy Hield

The Sacramento Kings have not made it a secret that Buddy Hield is available in trade. They have had him on the block for a while now, as he was mentioned as a possible trade target before the 2020-21 season. Just a few months ago, it looked like a deal was going to be made involving him as well.

Hield was rumored to be heading to the Los Angeles Lakers in a deal that would have landed Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell and the No. 22 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft with the Kings. The deal was close enough to be done that players thought they were on the move, but the Lakers pivoted in another direction at the last second.

Los Angeles acquired Russell Westbrook from the Washington Wizards instead, leaving Buddy Hield to remain with the Kings. One NBA executive believes Hield will be gone at some point during the season. The former Oklahoma Sooner has a deescalating contract, which also improves his chances of being traded.

On the court this season, Buddy Hield has done nothing to hurt his trade value. He remains one of the best high-volume 3-point shooters in the NBA, attempting 10.6 3-pointers per game and connecting at a 39.2 percent clip.
