Would this trade make sense for the Toronto Raptors?
The obvious benefit for the Sacramento Kings is getting the best player in the trade while moving some big trade pieces. The goal should be to build around De’Aaron Fox and that is something that the front office has not been able to do.
It is unknown when the plan will be put into motion but there are options on the table. Pascal Siakam is the prototypical big man for today’s NBA. He can score in the midrange while competing on both sides of the ball on the glass.
Siakam continues to improve and has taken his game to extreme fights over the last couple years. This is exactly the type of player that the Kings should be looking to put with Fox in the rotation. This would add plenty of balance on both ends and would give the Kings a duo to build around rather than just one player.
This is not a deal that will immediately get Sacramento back to the postseason, and end its 15-year playoff drought, but it would drastically improve the situation.
